It seems like EVERYONE needs informational assistance at one time or another... That's when legislators turn to LORL via phone, email, or fax, with requests. No question is too "small" or too complicated for LORL - all inquiries will be promptly addressed and sent to the legislator.

LORL provides:

• Pennsylvania laws and regulations;
• Other states' laws and regulations;
• Federal laws and regulations;
• Information on any scientific, technical, legal, economic and social issue;
• Assistance in identifying and analyzing government or private programs in Pennsylvania and elsewhere;
• Advice about computer software, hardware and other technologies;
• Information and assistance about any other issues, programs, or problems not mentioned here.

How LORL Works

LORL has an extensive resource network gleaned since 1976. In addition, LORL has compiled numerous data banks of information collected from colleges and universities, other states, and national organizations. LORL has ready information on nearly any issue faced by an elected official or legislative staff person.

We also provide a unique linkage between the legislature and nearly all of Pennsylvania's colleges and universities, offering legislators and staff access to policy information from experts in a broad range of fields. If your question is especially complicated, LORL can send it to our academic affiliates, or you may request that your inquiry is sent to a specific college or university in the LORL Network for an answer!
